Thomas Kelly released his fan Greyhawk novel back in January, and I just sat down (in COVID enforced isolation) and read it (in epub format).
I really enjoyed it. It was a little rough in a few segues and probably needed a professional edit but I’ve paid for published books worse than this.
As a Greyhawk fan I can commend it for being worth the time to read!
I could completely see running a campaign in the Hateful Wars stealing ideas from this. The goblin city of Grot-Ugrat partway through could be played in a “modern” campaign as a megadungeon. In the state it was left … (no spoilers)
The Low Road from it also featured as an article in the Visions of Greyhawk issue 2 fanzine.
